Their sketches were penned by some of the major talents of the seventies and eighties including John Cleese and Spike Milligan. And Ronnie Barker himself used to write a great deal of their material under the pen-name of Gerald Wiley.
Their shows featured comedy dramas like The Phantom Raspberry Blower of Old London Town, which was written by Spike Milligan, and The Worm That Turned, where the actress Diana Dors reigned over every man on earth.
